Rahmatjon “Rocky” Naimjonov, 20, handed himself in on an outstanding warrant for the July 22 attack at the Wawa on East Street Road in Feasterville, according to the announcement. Police reported that the victim was assaulted with brass knuckles during the unprovoked attack.
The victim later identified Naimjonov as the perpetrator. According to a public post on the Mediterranean Abington Organization’s Instagram page, Naimjonov is the event coordinator and a biology major at Penn State Abington.
A public commentator on the post described “Rocky” as having a “magnetic personality,” “boundless energy,” and “unwavering kindness,” adding that he “left an indelible mark on everyone he encounters.”
Investigators have charged Naimjonov with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor possession of an instrument of crime, misdemeanor simple assault, and summary harassment.
Police said he was processed and given a preliminary arraignment in front of a district judge.
