Police Seek Couple Accused of Stealing, Selling Items from Chester Avenue Business

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating two suspects accused of stealing merchandise from a business on Chester Avenue and selling the stolen items nearby.

The theft occurred on Monday, September 1, at a business located at 1813 Chester Avenue, according to police.

Investigators say a woman in her early 30s, described as having brown hair and a slim build, allegedly took items from the business. She was reportedly assisted by 38-year-old Marcus Castillo, who helped sell the stolen property shortly after the theft.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspects and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
