Both men who went missing during kayaking in Long Island waters have been found dead, police say.
New York State Police divers discovered Shane Garcia, 27, dead below in Shinnecock Bay on Sunday, police said.
Officials spent the entire day Sunday searching the region after discovering two abandoned kayaks near Shinnecock East County Park.
According to the Southampton Town Police Department, Garcia’s buddy and kayaking companion, Aaron Montemarano, 25, was discovered Monday morning in Shinnecock Bay.
Montemarano, of Riverhead, was seen with Garcia in a selfie that Garcia had given to his girlfriend just hours before being reported missing.
