Police: Chicago Man Arrested In June Shooting That Left 1 Critically Injured

A Chicago man has been detained in connection with a downtown shooting that gravely injured a 32-year-old man in June, according to police.

Donald Stoute, 41, was arrested at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 6800 block of North Sheridan Road, Chicago police said.

He faces one felony charge of aggravated violence and discharge of a handgun.

Stoute was recognized as the culprit who shot and critically injured the victim on June 3 in the 700 block of North Lake Shore Drive.

Additional information concerning the shooting was not disclosed.

Stoute is expected to appear in court on October 31 for a detention hearing.
