A disturbing case in Blair, where police apprehended a mother accused of endangering her two children.
Blair police said that a sergeant from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office discovered the children sobbing and screaming inside a car.
Police said that the vehicle was locked and not running.
The children, aged 3 and 16 months, were taken from the car and hospitalized due to signs of heat exposure.
Officers detained Tanya Knudsen, the mother, and charged her with child abuse.
According to police, Knudsen was delivering online grocery orders and left the children in the car.
Witnesses and surveillance cameras confirmed to police that Knudsen left the children in the car for approximately half an hour.
When Blair Fire and Rescue rescued the children, they found that the temperature inside the vehicle had risen above 120 degrees.
