Police: 3 Teens Arrested And Linked To Armed Robberies In New Rochelle After Cops Seize Gun

Detectives and uniformed police raided a New Rochelle home in the 100 block of Chauncey Ave. around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, and discovered three boys—two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old—inside, the New Rochelle Police Department said on Friday, Nov. 21.

Investigators said the youngsters were in possession of a loaded handgun that matched the description of the weapon used in two armed robberies being investigated. All three were taken into custody without incident.

According to police, the teens were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and processed as adolescent offenders under New York state law. They were arraigned and then freed on their recognizance.

Detectives are currently considering whether the youngsters will face robbery charges, adding that the investigation into both crimes is ongoing.

The names of the accused will not be revealed due of their age.
