Several suspects are in custody following a smash-and-grab burglary at an Oak Park pawnshop and a police chase on Monday morning, according to police.
At about 2:33 a.m., Oak Park officers responded to the 6300 block of North Avenue.
According to police, five criminals broke into the pawn shop using one vehicle and fled with the cash in the second vehicle, a red sedan reported stolen in Chicago.
The vehicle wrecked in Maywood during a chase with police, and three of the five suspects were apprehended.
