Police: 1 Dead, 1 Critical After Little Havana Shooting

Miami police are investigating a Tuesday evening double shooting that left one man dead and another critically injured in Little Havana.

The gunfire erupted around 6:45 p.m. near Southwest 10th Avenue and Fourth Street. Police said two men were standing by the roadside when a car pulled up. The driver got out and shot both men multiple times.

A man in his 40s died at the scene. A man in his 60s was taken to Ryder Trauma Center with a leg wound and remains in critical condition.

Officers detained a person of interest at the scene. Miami PD said they are keeping him isolated to preserve the value of his eyewitness account.

Neighbors reported hearing about nine shots. “He was just scared, shaken up. He didn’t want to go outside,” one resident said.
