Philadelphia Man Apprehended In Alleged $700 Retail Theft At Warrington Target

Warrington Township Police apprehended a Philadelphia man accused of stealing a high-end robotic vacuum from a local Target earlier this year, according to officials.

According to police, on September 5, 2025, Target’s loss prevention team reported a retail theft that occurred many months earlier, on June 5, at the store located at 401 Easton Road, Warrington. Investigators were alerted that a male, later identified as 30-year-old Clarance Matthew Murray of Philadelphia, allegedly chose an iRobot Roomba 705 vacuum cleaner for $699.99 and then departed the store without paying.

After receiving the report, authorities secured a warrant for Murray’s arrest. He later turned himself in to police on October 2, 2025.

Murray was arraigned before a Magisterial District Judge, and bail was set at $15,000, or 10% cash. Police claimed he was unable to make bail and was taken to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Murray is charged with retail theft and Receiving Stolen Property by the Warrington Township Police Department. Police also identified him as a repeat shoplifter.

The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing the case.

All defendants are deemed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
