Northbound Hwy. 99 Lanes Reopen Near Famoso After Semi-Truck Collision

Northbound lanes of Highway 99 in the Famoso area have reopened following a crash involving two semi-trucks early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The incident, first reported around 5:09 a.m., involved one semi overturning onto its side and spilling packages across the roadway. Initially, all northbound lanes were closed while officers and Cal Trans crews cleared the scene.

By 2:25 p.m., two lanes had reopened, with full lane access restored by 9:00 p.m., CHP confirmed.

No serious injuries were reported, though one person was taken to the hospital after being disoriented at the scene. Authorities advised drivers to seek alternate routes during the cleanup.

CHP continues to monitor traffic and ensure the roadway remains clear following the collision.
