Men ‘dressed As Women’ In Custody After Robbery And Chase Into Mississippi, MPD Say

Three men are in custody following an armed robbery in which two men “dressed as women” led police on a chase from Whitehaven to Mississippi on Tuesday night, according to police.

Tevin Gathings, 27, is in custody in Mississippi after being charged with aggravated robbery and intentionally avoiding arrest in a car.

Zykeione Campbell, 25, and Damaikual Davis, 26, face charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping.

Memphis Police responded to an armed robbery at Memphis Gold and Diamonds, located at 4275 Elvis Presley Boulevard, shortly after 6:30 p.m.

According to police, two males dressed as women entered the business and held the employees at gunpoint.

The defendants are then accused of assisting three other suspects in stealing $200,000 worth of merchandise from the business.

One of the suspects was arrested at the business, while four others fled in a Nissan Maxima.

Police stated they tried a traffic stop on the Nissan, but the pursuit continued into Mississippi, ending near Nail Road and Summerset Road.

According to MPD, the suspects fled the car, but officers apprehended three males.

Memphis Police say the fourth person seized on Tuesday was not a suspect in the crime.

Police stated the fourth and fifth suspects are still at large.
