Man Shot and Robbed Near Miramar Apartment Complex, Police Searching for Suspect

Police say a man was shot and robbed early this morning near a Miramar apartment complex. The incident happened around 1:50 a.m. along Southwest 147th Terrace, where officers found the injured man inside a home, NBC Miami reports. Investigators say an unidentified man confronted the victim, demanded his watch, shot him, and then fled the scene.

Authorities searched the area near the Solena Miramar Apartments and the Residence Inn off Miramar Parkway but could not find the suspect. Patrol officers set up a perimeter and collected evidence, placing items into bags under the glow of flashing lights, yet the shooter remained on the run. “The victim was taken to the hospital. He is expected to survive,” Miramar Police told NBC Miami.

Police confirmed the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening. The shooting took place along the 3000 block of Miramar Parkway and drew a swift law enforcement response, according to Local 10 News.

Broward Crime Stoppers is urging anyone with information that could help identify or capture the suspect to come forward. Authorities ask tipsters to call 954-493-TIPS, stressing that community cooperation is key to bringing the attacker to justice.
