A man was robbed of $4,000, as well as thousands of dollars in jewels and a Rolex watch, while pumping gas early Wednesday morning.
According to Memphis Police (MPD), the incident took place at around 3:40 a.m. at a Circle K on Getwell Road, off American Way. The man informed detectives that he began pumping gas when someone approached him from behind and pointed a gun at his stomach.
The robber instructed the man to “empty his pockets” before fleeing with a $7,000 Rolex watch, $17,000 in jewels, and $4,000 in cash, authorities said.
Police claimed the robber fled in a black sedan with tinted windows.
