Miami-Dade deputies are investigating a deadly hit-and-run after a man was struck and killed early Saturday morning in northwest Miami-Dade County.
Around 5:03 a.m., deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Northside District responded to reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle near Northwest 104th Terrace and 27th Avenue, close to the West Little River area.
Investigators say the man was crossing the road when a black SUV traveling south hit him and continued driving without stopping to help.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Traffic Homicide detectives with the sheriff’s office are leading the investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
