A man died after a shooting in the parking lot of a Foods Co. on White Lane late Friday night.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, officers responded around 9:23 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, to reports of a shooting at the Foods Co. located at 1801 White Lane.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man in the parking lot suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives later arrived and took over the investigation.
