Man detained, charged for domestic assault in California, Mo.

A man was detained for domestic abuse in California, Missouri, on Tuesday.

On August 26, California police responded to an active physical domestic attack on Dan Drive.

When cops arrived, the male suspect, Henry Dawson, was leaving the house and informed them that he had a verbal fight with a female.

He said she fell because he pushed her.

When two police entered the home, they discovered the female victim in a fetal position on the floor.

She had three serious cuts on her cheeks and lips.

During an argument, Dawson allegedly slapped her twice with a closed hand, once while standing and once while on the floor.

Medical professionals came on the scene to treat the injured and take her to a nearby hospital.

The Moniteau County Jail immediately arrested Dawson.

He was charged with third-degree domestic assault and was being held on a $5,000 cash bond.
