A 57-year-old man, Hugo Bahena, was convicted Thursday of repeatedly sexually assaulting a girl he is related to, beginning when she was 9 years old in Lake Forest.
Court records show Bahena was found guilty of nine felony counts of sexual assault. Police testimony during the preliminary hearing revealed that the assaults occurred 15 to 20 times in 2014.
Bahena is scheduled to be sentenced on December 5, 2025.
