A 33-year-old man was arrested after a road rage incident on Saturday, November 8, resulted in gunfire and injured one person.
Deputies say three persons were traveling eastbound on FM-529 when another driver, Franklin Sael Alvarado, became hostile. After one of the drivers honked, both cars came to a stop.
Alvarado apparently got out of his car, grabbed a shotgun, and fired at the other car as the driver attempted to flee. A projectile struck a passenger in the back of the head. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after the incident, deputies located and apprehended Alvarado near the scene. He was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two charges of deadly conduct and brought into the Harris County Jail.
The investigation is underway.
