A 23-year-old man from Lindsay was arrested after deputies say he impregnated a 13-year-old girl, who gave birth at age 14.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) reported receiving a call on October 8, 2025, about a 14-year-old girl who had recently given birth.
The father of the child was identified as Gerardo Calleja, 23, of Lindsay. On October 22, 2025, TCSO detectives interviewed Calleja and the teen mother, and he was taken into custody without incident.
Further investigation revealed that Calleja had been in a relationship with the girl since she was 12 or 13, and she became pregnant at 13.
