A juvenile has been apprehended after Hattiesburg police recovered a stolen vehicle and several firearms tied to a commercial burglary in Ellisville, according to the Hattiesburg Police Department.
On December 4, 2025, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of North Main Street for a complaint of a stolen 2019 Kia Forte. The vehicle was later discovered abandoned in the 1700 block of Eva Street.
Police said officers uncovered materials inside the vehicle that linked it to a commercial burglary in Ellisville.
Officers then went to a home in the 2000 block of Mamie Street, where they discovered five stolen firearms linked to the Ellisville crime. One juvenile was arrested at the residence.
The juvenile has been charged with grand larceny auto and possession of a stolen firearm, according to police. The investigation is now ongoing.
