Fashion was no longer part of the picture.
A judge sharply scolded accused serial dine-and-dash figure Pei Chung as she appeared in Brooklyn court Wednesday wearing prison scrubs instead of designer clothing.
Dressed in a dull olive jail uniform, the 34-year-old — accused of skipping out on at least eight restaurant bills in a single month — repeatedly interrupted Judge Orville Reynolds during her Brooklyn criminal court hearing.
“When I speak you don’t speak! Understand?!” Reynolds finally snapped.
At least four NYC judges have stepped away from a case involving a Brooklyn Democratic power broker and missing $2 million.
Wearing the drab jail uniform, Chung continued interrupting Judge Reynolds throughout the hearing.
“That is not correct,” Chung replied, inexplicably.
The Prada-loving aspiring influencer, who previously shared photos of herself in fur coats and high-end Louis Vuitton and Hermes accessories, appeared disheveled and in handcuffs as she stood beside her attorney.
During the hearing, Chung’s lawyer, Henry Dechalus, asked the judge to ban photography in the courtroom.
“Your honor, I have spoken to my client and she feels that it would violate her rights to allow the media to sell images of her,” Dechalus said.
The judge denied the request, citing strong public interest in the case.
On Nov. 26, Chung was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation after her attorney claimed she could not understand the charges against her.
Police say Chung has had officers called on her at least 10 times for alleged dine-and-dash incidents, including at popular New York City restaurants such as Francie, Lavender Lake, Motorino, and Peter Luger.
She is also accused of attempting the same stunt at Mole Mexican Bar and Grill in Williamsburg, where she allegedly ordered $149 worth of food and tried to leave without paying.
Chung was charged with theft of services and remanded to Rikers Island.
