Jefferson County Teacher Detained And Faces Domestic Abuse Charges After Incident In Olivette

The City of Olivette said Thursday that police detained a man at Windsor Middle School in Jefferson County in connection with a domestic violence investigation.

According to the city, Alexander Thomas Julian was booked into the St. Louis County Jail on Wednesday. He was being held on a $100,000 bond.

Julian faces two counts of third-degree domestic violence, unauthorized use of a weapon, and armed criminal action.

According to court documents, Julian paid a visit to the victim shortly after their breakup to recover their items.

The victim informed police that he entered their home and closed the door behind him after being told he wasn’t wanted there. According to court filings, the victim urged Julian to leave several times, and the incident was documented on tape.

The charging documents state: Julian then grabbed the victim by the hair and banged their face into a dresser and the floor before pulling out a revolver, pushing it to their cheek, and threatening to kill both them and himself. It further alleges that Julian dragged the victim by their hair to another room while shouting, “Help me.”

Authorities say the inquiry is ongoing and they are gathering new information.

On Thursday, the only appearance in the case was the same as in December. It was later updated to reflect a court appearance on Friday.
