On October 18, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m., an Irving Police officer responded to a report of a man with a gun near MacArthur Boulevard and State Highway 161.
Clayton Andrew Rowe, 24, told officers that he was involved in a road rage incident with another driver, later identified as Brendan James McNair of South Irving. According to Rowe, McNair came up beside him on southbound 161 at Las Colinas Boulevard and pointed a black revolver at him. Rowe applied the brakes, allowing the Bronco to pass him.
Rowe followed McNair’s gray Ford Bronco until authorities encountered it at Highway 161 and Walnut Hill Road. McNair was detained without incident.
During a check of McNair’s vehicle, a black Smith & Wesson Shield 9mm handgun was discovered inside the center console, fully loaded with a round in the chamber.
After the inquiry, McNair was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked in Irving Jail before being moved to Dallas County Jail on October 19. McNair has now bonded out.
