Ingham County Deputies Detain 3 Suspected Child Predators In Sting Operation

Three men suspected of child sex abuse were apprehended during a sting in Ingham County, officials said Friday afternoon.

According to officials, the arrests were the result of a targeted operation in which law enforcement posed as a 15-year-old girl online.

Following “extensive online communication” with undercover deputies, the three men agreed to meet with the girl for “sexual purposes.”

The men arrived at the stated meeting spot and were soon apprehended.

  • Gregory Leroy Jordan III, 37, of Lansing: Bond set at $75,000
  • Syed Muhammed Zaid Alvi, 30, of East Lansing: Bond set at $1 million
  • Kalil Davonte Brown, 24, of Farmington Hills: Bond set at $75,000

All three men were arraigned on Friday in the 55th District Court. They are all charged with child sexual abuse, a 20-year felony; two counts of communicating with another to commit a crime, a 20-year felony; and accosting for immoral purposes, a four-year felony.

Lansing Police, Michigan State Police, Eaton County deputies, Genesee County deputies, and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office Global Human Oppression Strike Team (GHOST) all provided assistance to Ingham County deputies.
