In just six months under President Donald Trump, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Houston arrested 356 criminal illegal alien gang members — a 375% increase compared to the same period under President Biden, when 75 gang members were arrested. For perspective, the Houston field office arrested only 115 gang members in all of 2021.
These 356 gang members had a combined 1,685 criminal convictions, including murder, child sex crimes, sex trafficking, arson, and theft.
ICE’s arrests included members of over 40 gangs:
-
39 MS-13
-
25 Tren de Aragua
-
6 Latin Kings
-
159 Paisas
-
26 Tango Blast
“Thanks to President Trump and Secretary Noem, these illegal alien gang members are off America’s streets,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Across the country, ICE is targeting vicious gangs that rape, maim, and murder Americans for sport. In Houston alone, we’ve already arrested more than three times the number of gang members that the Biden administration arrested here in all of 2021. The days of unchecked gang violence are OVER.”
