A fishing trip in the Florida Keys turned into a major drug find when a captain reeled in 25 kilograms of suspected cocaine instead of grouper.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said the captain discovered the tightly wrapped bricks—over 55 pounds of white powder—near the Square Grouper Marina in Islamorada.
A photo released by MCSO shows more than a dozen packages of the suspected cocaine. Authorities confirmed the captain immediately turned the drugs over to the U.S. Border Patrol.
