Fiery Crash in Sacramento Kills 3; Driver Suspected of DUI Hospitalized

A suspected DUI crash in Sacramento left three people dead early Saturday morning, police said.

The collision occurred just before 1 a.m. near Roseville Road and Connie Drive and involved a truck and another vehicle. Responding officers found one vehicle engulfed in flames with two occupants trapped inside. Both died at the scene.

A third victim, believed to have been ejected, was discovered in the roadway and also pronounced dead.

The driver of the truck survived with major injuries and is hospitalized in stable condition. Police suspect the driver was under the influence at the time of the crash.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims or the suspected driver. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
