The FBI released new video evidence in the Charlie Kirk murder case, showing a suspect fleeing moments after the conservative activist was fatally shot.
The footage captures the suspect running across a rooftop, dropping over the edge, and disappearing into a wooded area on the Utah Valley University campus immediately after the shooting.
FBI Statement
According to the FBI, the suspect climbed onto a rooftop, fired the fatal shot, then jumped off and ran away. Agents said he abandoned a gun and ammunition in the wooded area near the university.
In the video, the suspect wears a long-sleeve black shirt, a hat, sunglasses, and a backpack. Investigators confirmed that DNA tests have been conducted at the crime scene to gather more evidence.
Investigation and Manhunt
Authorities have not made any arrests yet, but police said they have identified a “person of interest.”
A massive manhunt is underway, with officers pursuing multiple leads after receiving more than 200 tips.
The FBI announced a $100,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s capture.
