A multi-week narcotics investigation in Duncanville and Dallas County resulted in the seizure of illegal substances worth up to $10 million on the street and the identification of three people who are now facing federal charges, police stated on Monday.
The Duncanville Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, in collaboration with DEA agents, targeted a major drug distribution network that was trafficking huge amounts of methamphetamine throughout the area.
The investigation led police to a Dallas County home where the suspects reportedly made the drug. On October 27, officers from the Duncanville Narcotics Unit, SWAT Team, and DEA conducted a high-risk search warrant at the property.
Inside the home, law officials located a functioning methamphetamine conversion lab. Investigators finally seized around 250 kilograms of methamphetamine, as well as several guns.
“Our Narcotics Unit, in partnership with select DEA personnel, demonstrated exceptional dedication and professionalism in dismantling a significant methamphetamine distribution network harming our community,” said Duncanville Chief of Police Matt Stogner.
The three people identified as part of the operation are anticipated to face federal narcotics charges.
