Detectives Seek More Victims in California ‘Dating App’ Burglary Spree

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Malibu/Lost Hills Station are asking the public for help identifying additional victims linked to a woman arrested for a series of residential burglaries.

The suspect, Adva Lavie, allegedly targeted older men across Los Angeles County by posing as a romantic partner on various social media and dating platforms.

Lavie, who also used the aliases Mia Ventura Shoshana and Shana, reportedly gained her victims’ trust before burglarizing their homes.

According to LASD, Lavie is a female adult, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing roughly 104 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Detectives said she is known to drive a black Porsche SUV and a white Mercedes-Benz sedan—details that may help potential victims identify her.

Authorities believe more victims may exist, given the sensitive nature of the crimes and the methods used to target individuals through personal relationships.

The LASD urges anyone who believes they were victimized by Adva Lavie, or who has information about her activities, to contact the Malibu/Lost Hills Station at (818) 878-1808.

Those wishing to remain anonymous can reach Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
