Deputies Seize 14 Kilos Of Molly, Meth And Fentanyl In Halloween Drug Bust

A man who had previously been released on bond for second-degree murder in connection with the Club Blu case was detained again after deputies raided a Fort Myers stash house on Halloween night and discovered more than a dozen kilograms of drugs.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, detectives conducted the raid on Regata Way following months of controlled buys involving the suspect, Derrick Church. Sheriff Carmine Marceno stated that Church “continued to sell and traffic deadly narcotics” despite facing serious accusations.

Narcotics detectives discovered 14 kilograms of Molly/MDMA, 812 grams of methamphetamine, and 174 grams of fentanyl in the flat.

According to investigators, Church was arrested outside the apartment on October 31 after organizing another drug sale. He was put into the Lee County Jail, where Sheriff Marceno said he “will remain for the foreseeable future.”

Church now faces six counts of trafficking in fentanyl, phenethylamines, and methamphetamines, as well as two counts of possession with intent to sell and two counts of sale of a controlled substance.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the operation was part of an ongoing narcotics sweep that targeted repeat violent offenders.
