The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is investigating a carjacking that occurred Wednesday afternoon in southwest Miami-Dade.
Deputies arrived at 1:45 p.m. to the area of Southwest 78th Court and 40th Street after a woman reported that two men had pickpocketed her and stolen the keys to her car.
According to officials, the men then drove away in their car.
The truck was eventually discovered near the Golden Glades intersection, after the two men bailed out and fled on foot. Deputies detained the two males suspected of being involved.
Detectives have subsequently taken up the investigation. No other information has been shared.
