Maria De Jesus Zuniga Rivas, 65, was a passenger in the vehicle with Diaz.
Both Diaz and Rivas were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Diaz was driving a Honda southbound on 70th Street West while another man was driving a Jeep eastbound on Avenue A. The two vehicles collided as they approached the intersection.
