A Hacienda Heights man will serve nine months in federal prison for running a large-scale shipping fraud scheme that involved thousands of false claims, federal prosecutors announced.
On Aug. 14, 2025, Ting Hong Yeung, 43, pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud. Chief U.S. District Judge Mark R. Hornak in Pittsburgh handed down the sentence, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti. After his release, Yeung will remain under three years of supervised release.
Authorities said that between August 2018 and June 2020, Yeung used multiple corporate entities to file over 6,000 fraudulent claims for supposedly lost or damaged ground shipments. In reality, the shipments weren’t lost or damaged. Yeung collected settlement payments from those false claims, causing significant financial losses to the package delivery company.
