The DA reported that on Dec. 4, 2025, Larry Twyman was found guilty of committing lewd and lascivious acts on a minor under 14 and of false imprisonment.
Prosecutors said the incident occurred on March 28, 2025, when Twyman assaulted a minor who was a family acquaintance. When she tried to run away, he grabbed her shirt, held her down, and continued the assault. She eventually escaped and later reported what happened.
Twyman has a history of similar behavior. In 1981, he received a seven-year prison sentence in Arizona for sexual conduct with a minor in Yuma County. Under Arizona law, that conviction did not qualify as a prior strike offense.
“Twyman has demonstrated a troubling pattern of sexual misconduct involving vulnerable children.
