Bakersfield Drug Bust Uncovers Over 30 Pounds of Meth and Guns; One Arrest Made

More than 30 pounds of meth, firearms, and suspected evidence of drug sales were found after multiple agencies served a search warrant near downtown Bakersfield. One person was arrested.

According to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office, on December 4, 2025, DA’s Office Investigators, a CDCR Special Service Unit special agent, and a Bakersfield Police Department detective served a search warrant in the 4000 block of O Street.

During the search of an apartment and an associated storage room, officers reportedly found over 30 pounds of methamphetamine, $14,000 in cash, two handguns, and additional evidence of drug sales.

The DA’s Office said 31-year-old Miguel Aldaco of Bakersfield was arrested on charges related to unlawful firearm possession and drug sales.

District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer praised the operation, saying, “I’m proud of the dedicated work of the Bureau of Investigations and our law enforcement partners, who work tirelessly to remove harmful substances from our streets. Drugs are a catalyst for other crime in our community, and a seizure of this magnitude is a significant win for our residents.”

Aldaco posted bail on December 4, 2025.

The DA’s Office said it will determine a filing decision before the tentative arraignment date set for December 29, 2025.
