Authorities have identified all four victims who were killed in the recent Stockton mass shooting at a child’s birthday party. The victims are 8-year-old Journey Rose, 8-year-old Maya Lupian, 14-year-old Amari Peterson, and 21-year-old Susano Archuleta.
Journey Rose, initially reported as 9, was confirmed by her family to be 8 years old. She was a student in the Stockton Unified School District (SUSD), and her mother, Jackie Reotutar, is a special education teacher at Madison Elementary School. SUSD expressed deep condolences, stating they are providing counseling and mental health support to students and staff affected by the tragedy.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office had reported victims’ ages ranging from 8 to 21. In addition to the four fatalities, two more victims were located at hospitals after self-transporting, bringing the total injured to 13, making 17 victims in total.
The community continues to mourn the tragic loss while authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
