Our Vision

Expanding Our Mission

While maintaining our commitment to Upper Cumberland high school sports, we have expanded our mission to serve communities nationwide with comprehensive local news coverage. Our reporting now encompasses crime stories, financial news, political developments, and community updates from across the United States, ensuring that local voices and stories from all regions receive the attention they deserve.

We also feature the sports reporting work of local high school students, actively recruiting young people who want to learn sports journalism and have a passion for sports, helping to develop the next generation of storytellers and reporters.

Our Sports Heritage

High school sports fans continue to have their premier destination for following Upper Cumberland sports through our original UC Sports Nation platform. Our dedicated team of reporters, videographers, broadcasters and photographers provides comprehensive coverage of local high school sports, covering all sports for both men and women.

“There are amazing athletes and coaches all across the Upper Cumberland that deserve to have their story told,” said Stonecom President Larry Stone. “We are proud to extend our coverage of high school sports to a new level with the very first comprehensive site dedicated to the Upper Cumberland.”

Our Upper Cumberland sports coverage includes 15 local high schools: Cookeville, Clarkrange, Clay County, Cumberland County, Dekalb County, Jackson County, Livingston Academy, Monterey, Pickett County, Stone Memorial, Upperman, Van Buren County, Warren County, White County and York Institute.

We take fans inside the game, introducing you to the young men and women who play at the high school level.

“It’s going to give the high school athletes, their friends and families a chance to learn about what they’re doing, their struggles, and their triumphs,” said UC Sports Nation Sports Director Justin Matheney. “That’s not been offered at this level.”
