Pedestrian Dead After Being Struck by Two Cars in Riverside County

A pedestrian died after being struck by two cars in Norco Friday night, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies said the crash occurred around 9:25 p.m. near Hamner Avenue and Citrus Street, prompting a response after authorities learned of an incident involving a pedestrian and two vehicles.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim on the road with severe injuries. Despite life-saving efforts by deputies, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, deputies said.

“The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision,” the RSO said in a news release.

Authorities have not yet identified the victim.
