A Wednesday morning raid by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office ended with three arrests, including a father and son, after detectives said a known trafficker kept dealing drugs while awaiting trial for a prior case.
Detectives from the Vice and Narcotics Unit, supported by the SWAT Team, executed a search warrant on November 26 at a home on Wildwood Drive. The raid was part of the agency’s ongoing “Kings Fall Operation.”
Investigators focused on the property after determining that 46-year-old Robert Wright Jr. was selling trafficking-level amounts of narcotics. Deputies were already familiar with Wright Jr.; he was arrested in July after a traffic stop allegedly uncovered 56.3 grams of fentanyl. He was out on bond for those charges at the time of Wednesday’s raid.
The Sheriff’s Office said the search revealed a sizable stash of drugs linked to Wright Jr., including fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, Alprazolam, and Diazepam. As a convicted felon, he also faces charges related to ammunition found inside the home.
Deputies also arrested his son, 21-year-old Robert Wright III. Investigators found a Glock handgun reported stolen in Citrus County inside his bedroom. A records check showed he had an outstanding arrest warrant from Hillsborough County.
A third suspect, 23-year-old Nikilya Davis, was arrested for possession of marijuana and prescription pills.
Robert Wright Jr. now faces multiple charges, including Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell. Because he was already out on bond for similar charges, he is being held without bond.
Robert Wright III was charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm and is being held on the Hillsborough County warrant. Davis’s bond was set according to the standard schedule.
