A Florida dinner date ended in bloodshed after a heated confrontation over cellphone photos led to a machete attack, according to police. A Miami woman is now behind bars facing multiple felony charges, including attempted murder.
Authorities say 49-year-old Liz Frechel was arrested Friday and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where she is being held without bond. The incident began Thursday evening while Frechel was having dinner with her boyfriend at a Texas Roadhouse in Miami.
Investigators told Local 10 that the boyfriend became upset after reportedly seeing photos on Frechel’s phone showing her holding hands and hugging another man. He immediately stormed out of the restaurant.
Later that night, the boyfriend went to Frechel’s apartment to return her belongings, planning to leave them outside. However, he realized he had accidentally also left his car keys with the items. By the time he returned to retrieve them, the belongings had already been taken inside.
