A 13-year-old girl has been arrested after allegedly shooting and killing a 16-year-old boy in Pomona on Sunday evening, according to police.
Officers responded to the 1300 block of East Pasadena Avenue at around 5:20 p.m., where they found the teenage victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. The Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived shortly after and pronounced him dead at the scene, the Pomona Police Department said.
The Major Crimes Unit quickly launched an investigation and identified the 13-year-old girl as a potential suspect. She was taken into custody and booked into Juvenile Hall.
