A 45-year-old man was killed after a hit-and-run crash on Chicago’s South Side on Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred on the 11700 block of S. Marshfield Avenue in Morgan Park, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Officers arrived at the site around 4:48 p.m.
According to police, a van driven by an unknown suspect was heading southbound on Marshfield Avenue when it struck the victim.
According to authorities, the van continued driving southbound.
The victim died at the spot. Authorities have not identified him.
Nobody is in custody.
The CPD’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating the crash.
