21 documented gang members were detained in a multi-agency operation that began in Arlington and extended throughout the Metroplex.
According to Arlington Police Chief Al Jones, the suspects are connected of the “Kiccdoe” street gang, which is responsible for a wide range of crimes, including burglary and murder.
“Earlier this year, a teenage girl was shot and injured by stray gunfire that went into her family’s apartment,” the police chief stated.
“We arrested multiple Kiccdoe members in connection to that incident.”
Arlington eventually brought the help of the FBI.
According to FBI Dallas Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jeremy Wright, these arrests are just the beginning.
“I can assure you if there are additional members of Kiccdoe who are feeling pretty lucky today, I think they should re-evaluate,” Wright told the group.
Last week, many agencies arrested the individuals in Fort Worth, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Dallas, and Forney.
They range in age from 18 to 23 and have been charged with federal Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization, or RICO.
