A 4-year-old girl is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in south Sacramento on Tuesday evening, authorities said.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, officers responded just before 6 p.m. to reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle near Power Inn and Elder Creek roads. The child was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
