Oklahoma Woman Sentenced To Prison For Transporting Meth Found During Traffic Stop

An Oklahoma City woman told a local judge she thought she was hauling pot rather than meth when busted during a DPS traffic stop in northwest Arizona on April 14. Kristina Foster, 40, addressed Judge Billy Sipe during her sentencing hearing in Kingman on November 6.

Foster tearfully told how she thought she was driving marijuana across states where it is allowed while she was on her way to Oklahoma but was detained in Mohave County. A crate inside her vehicle contained 30 pounds of meth.

ā€œI’m so sorry,ā€ Foster exclaimed as she pleaded for probation.

According to Judge Sipe, probation is not an option considering the type and amount of drugs involved.

Sipe gave a 3.5-year prison sentence and ordered the forfeiture of $6,000 recovered during the stop.
