Juniata County Missing Woman Located Safe

UPDATE: According to Pennsylvania State Police, McKarchey has been found and is safe.

ORIGINAL: The Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a missing and endangered woman who left her home Friday night.

Destiny Ann McKarchey, 27, was last seen in Juniata County around 10:30 p.m. on November 7 on Railroad Lane in Port Royal, authorities said.

According to State Police in Lewistown, helicopters, local fire departments, and multiple K9 units sent by the Pennsylvania Game Commission are aggressively hunting for McKarchey. State Police have stated that there would be a heightened police presence in the region until McKarchey is located.

McKarchey is described as a black female at 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 130 to 135 pounds. When last seen, McKarchey was dressed in a black puffer jacket with a fur-lined hood, a black sweatshirt with a bear logo, black skeleton pajama pants, and brown Ugg boots.

Police believe she is endangered owing to developmental and cognitive impairments.
