Three people were injured early Saturday in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 75 in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
The collision occurred around 5 a.m. near I-75 and Holbrook, after several witnesses reported a Dodge Durango driving southbound in the northbound lanes shortly before impact.
When troopers arrived, they found a 26-year-old driver and a 65-year-old passenger trapped inside a Subaru. Both were rescued and taken to the hospital. The 38-year-old Dodge driver was also hospitalized with head injuries, police said.
Authorities have not released details about how the crash unfolded, but alcohol is believed to be a factor, according to First Lieutenant Mike Shaw.
The affected section of I-75 was closed for about four hours while crews cleared the wreckage and investigated the scene.
