Police detained a man in North Hollywood on Wednesday on suspicion of committing domestic abuse and then attempting to flee.
LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes informed City News Service that officers from the department’s North Hollywood Division were dispatched to the 12100 block of Hart Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard at 12:51 a.m. on Wednesday to respond to a domestic violence report.
When authorities arrived, a mother and her two children told them that the offender was tossing stuff out an apartment window while they escaped, according to Cervantes. The suspect tried to flee through a window, but police apprehended him and arrested him near the location, Cervantes said.
