Florida Boat Builder Convicted in Ohio for Multi-State Theft, Faces Over 30 Years in Prison

A former Florida boat builder, Todd Allen Lamb, faces up to 32 1/2 years in prison after an Ohio jury found him guilty of defrauding boat owners across six states.

Lamb, 51, was convicted on Friday, Oct. 31, in Logan County, Ohio, on six counts of felony theft, one count of defrauding creditors, and one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, according to Peak Of Ohio.

The victims were located in Delaware, New Jersey, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee.

Lamb moved his company, Spectre Powerboats, from central Ohio to DeLand Municipal Airport in Volusia County, Florida, in 2021.

The charges stem from alleged criminal activity dating back to 2017, during which Lamb reportedly accepted large payments for custom-built boats—including more than $300,000 in one Ohio case—but failed to deliver the vessels or return the money.

Following the guilty verdict, Lamb was taken into custody. He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 26.

A separate case against his ex-wife, Karen Nicole Lamb, who was also indicted on nine counts in Ohio, remains pending.
